With a long history serving the caring members of the healthcare industry, TopStitch Scrubs believes in giving to those that give to others. Our employee-run charitable team, The Giving Back Committee, was formed from that same belief.
Our committee consists of employees from all company divisions to make sure all voices are represented. We meet monthly to discuss organizations and causes that we’d like to support, as well as those recommended by other employees who aren’t on the committee. We reach out to these organizations to learn about their mission, those they serve, and what type of initiatives they are seeking support for. We then thoughtfully select recipients to ensure our donations will make a meaningful, impactful difference.
To date, we have supported numerous organizations and individuals, both local and national, who embody the idea of giving back to others:
Barco NightingalesSM Foundation
Barco’s NightingalesSM Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of children around the world by providing clean water, food, clothing, medical care and opportunities. With our donation, BNF was able to feed 200 families in Haiti (for an entire year) whose lives were disrupted by natural disasters that left them without food and clean water.

Clint Modler, local Colorado resident
We purchased a life-changing Bath Buddy system for Clint Modler, who is suffering from ALS and has depleted his finances after being dropped by his medical insurance.
Alzheimer's Association, Colorado Chapter
The Alzheimer's Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. With our donation, they were able to send 120 caregivers from 4 different Colorado care facilities to essential training classes that will equip them with the tools they need to provide the best care possible for those living with Alzheimer's, as well as themselves.

Children's Hospital, Highlands Ranch, CO
Children’s Hospital Colorado was built to help kids get better faster and reduce stress on the whole family. We provided 312 scrubs for their ED, Inpatient, Radiology, and Ambulatory departments.

Open Arms Food Bank, Littleton, CO
Open Arms Food Bank provides food to as many as 250 families in need a week. With our donation, they were able to cover one of their biggest expenses - dairy and eggs - getting them through the holiday season and the end of the year.

Children of Hope
Children of Hope provides love, family, education, and a home to orphaned, abandoned, neglected and abused children. With our donation, they were able to provide one of their orphans, Josephine, with new prosthetic legs as she had outgrown hers. They were also able to fill the libraries with books and games for the children.

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
For No Shave November, employees grew (or created) their best facial hair to raise money and awareness for Men’s Health. The company donated $200 for every employee that entered our No Shave November contest, raising a total of $7,600! The employee who was voted the winner of best facial hair got to choose the organization to receive our donation - the winner chose the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), is the world's largest nonprofit health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services.

Toys for Tots
The mission of the Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas. Our company elves banded together to buy and deliver 5 car loads of toys to the Belmar firehouse in Lakewood, CO for Toys for Tots. Over a dozen employees went shopping and 6 of them delivered them to the firehouse, just in time for Santa to pick them up. We are continuing this tradition annually.

The Center for Work Education and Employment
The Center for Work Education and Employment (CWEE) supports vulnerable workers, mostly single moms, to train for and launch careers. Our donation provided 10 laptops for 10 CWEE families to enable them to participate in virtual training, education, and employment support.

Project Sweet Peas
Project Sweet Peas' mission is to empower and support families of fragile infants, and to inspire hope through remembrance for those affected by pregnancy and infant loss. 9 out of 10 families experience financial hardship during their child's NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) stay. Our donation provided support to 60 families with food, fuel and financial assistance for families with a child in the NICU through Project Sweet Peas' Food & Fuel fund.

Art from Ashes (AfA) is a Colorado nonprofit that encourages creative empowerment through artistic expression for struggling youth ages 9 to 24. Our donation covered materials for 10 workshops and paid for 4 virtual workshops for 20 youth.

Located in Littleton, Colorado, Doctors Care is a private non-profit organization dedicated to improving health access for low-income individuals in the South Metro Denver area. Our donation covered the cost of much needed ultrasound equipment to serve their patients.

Max Fund is a local, non-profit, no kill shelter that takes in and nurtures injured animals with no known owner. They find loving forever homes for these animals once they have recovered. Our donation covered food and medical costs for their animals.

Girls on the Run programs are designed to develop and enhance girls’ social, psychological, and physical competencies to successfully navigate life experiences. Our donation supported multiple girls for an entire season.

Lucky to Ride is dedicated to giving underserved and at-risk youth the opportunity to experience and learn about the natural beauty of Colorado from the seat of a mountain bike. Our donation sponsored multiple large groups of children to participate in the program.

The Taylor Rumbaugh Memorial Scholarship
We worked with the Colorado School of Mines to establish an annual scholarship fund in memory of Taylor Rumbaugh, one of our valued employees that unexpectedly passed away. Taylor went to Mines, and the scholarship will be awarded every year to women in need who are pursuing careers in Applied Math & Statistics (Taylor's major) and Computer Science.
WellPower
WellPower is a mental health organization that Taylor was speaking to before her untimely passing. We wanted to follow through on it as it was important to Taylor and mental health is important to everyone. They provide treatment, prevention, outreach and crisis services to children, families and adults. Our donation covered the cost of implementing an SMS messaging system to communicate with their patients

Children's Hospital Colorado - Cystic Fibrosis
We again supported Children’s Hospital Colorado but this time specifically their Cystic Fibrosis department. Cystic Fibrosis is a respiratory as well as digestive disease with a grim prognosis and often short life span for many patients. Our donation went towards the cost of bags that they provide to newly diagnosed patients that include important information, meds, enzymes, etc. as they face their devastating diagnosis.

Hope Lives!
Hope Lives! adds quality of life to breast cancer patients by offering integrative support services and products that help manage the physical, emotional, social and financial side effects of breast cancer treatment. We provided $250 grocery gift cards to multiple breast cancer patients with financial need so they could concentrate on healing, and worry less about feeding their families.
